Obituary for Robert W. Pendergrass

ARGYLE

Robert W. Pendergrass, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at The Orchard in Granville.

Born April 15, 1922, in St. Petersburg, FL, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mabel (Inman) Pendergrass.

Robert was a member of the very last graduating class of Argyle High School where he received his diploma in 1939. He was a lifelong farmer who was an avid Mets fan. He also enjoyed watching basketball and football. Most of all Robert enjoyed being around other people and could often be found visiting with his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased by his brothers; Morris, Arthur, and Coleman Pendergrass, and his sisters; Louise Fleeman, Kathryn McDougall, Mabel Bain, Betty Dean, and Marjorie Hill.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, MacAvoy Pendergrass and his wife Rosemary, his sister-in-law Clenia Pendergrass, and many nieces and nephews.

At Robert’s request there will be no calling hours.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Argyle, NY 12809 with Rev. Burial will be private at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Argyle.
