Obituary for Louis Torregrossa

Queensbury
Louis Otto Torregrossa, 73, of Spruce Ct. passed away at home on Wednesday March 16, 2016 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Bogalusa Louisiana on August 28, 1942, he was the son of the late, Robert E. and Ethel (Zuelke) Torregrossa.

In 1960 Louis graduated from Bogalusa High School. He then attended Louisiana Tech. before earning a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Lawrence University.

Louis worked in the paper industry for many years, including time spent at, Crown Zellback, International Paper, Ahlstrom Inc. as well as vice president of Kamyr Inc.

Louis was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Glens Falls.

In 1964 Louis married the love of his life, Martha Crow, at the Presbyterian Church in, Bossier City, Louisiana.

Louis enjoyed the outdoors especially, fishing, hiking, biking, gardening as well as cooking. He also loved to travel and enjoyed seeing new places. His favorite destination was Costa Rico. Most of all, Louis loved spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha (Crow) Torregrossa; his sons, Joshua and Robert Torregrossa, of Seattle WA; his sisters, Mary Miller and her husband, James, of FL and Pricilla Stow and her husband, Wilmer, of PA; as well as his brother, Robert E. Torregrossa and his wife, Elizabeth Drew, of MD.

Arrangements are in the care of, M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Glens Falls in Queensbury, NY.
