Obituary for Andre Xavier "Andy" Quintois

SOUTH GLENS FALLS

Andre “Andy” Quintois Jr., 73, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by his family and friends.

Born October 24, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Andre and Beatrice (Daffin) Quintois Sr.

Andy proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1966-1967 where he earned a National Defense Service Medal.

On January 16, 1967, he married Norma Hill in Warren County, right before he shipped out for the service. Upon his return, he was employed at Price Chopper. However, what he was most proud of was that he and Norma did the very important work of fostering many children for over 27 years.

Andy was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved to visit the racino in Saratoga, and was known to be a wonderful cook. He had a giving spirit and volunteered at the Midtown community. He will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to his parents, Andy is predeceased by his brother Tom Quintois and his sister Suzanne Jones.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Norma Quintois, his children; Christina Anderson (Neal), Jeanette Quintois, and Andre Charles Quintois, his grandchildren; Krysten Anderson (Kate), Candace Epstein (Matt), Sabrena Quintois, Grace Alheim, and Devyn Quintois, his sisters, Jeannette Cammarota and Ruth Quintois, his brothers Gene Quintois (Deb) and Michael Quintois, his “adopted kids” Liz and Andrew Morehouse, his good friends at Midtown, Jack and Wayne, the Midtown ladies he had coffee in the office with; Danielle and Carol, as well as his favorite cats, Cupcake and Lucky.

Friends may call from 2-4pm on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

Interment at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors will take place at a later date.
