Anna Mae Mattison passed away on August 2, 2014 at Washington Center in Argyle after a long illness.

Born July 9, 1939, at 9 Union Street, Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late William B. Mattison Sr. of Hudson Falls and Melvina C. (Mannell) of Whitehall.

She earned her GED and took classes at the former Adirondack Community College. She worked at General Electric and Sherwood Medical.

Anna enjoyed horseback riding, sports, swimming, singing, arts and crafts, drawing, reading, baking, bird watching, and her hanging plant garden. She loved all animals and spending time with her family.

Anna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hudson Falls, and sang in the choir. She was a Girl Scout leader, and in college she belonged to Circle K.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Katherine J. Londrigan, and her husband, Maurice, of Hudson Falls; a brother, Alfred G. Mannell, and his wife, Geraldine (Davis), of Whitehall; a brother, Malcolm J. Mattison, and his wife, Audrey (Harder), of St. Albans VT; a brother, Luther R. Mattison, of Hudson Falls; a brother, David G. Mattison, and his wife, Carolyn (Fornier), of Hudson Falls; an infant brother, Louis E Mattison, of Hudson Falls; and a brother-in-law, Guy O. Matthews, of Fort Edward.

Anna is survived by four children from her marriage to Robert H. Smith, Sr.: Robert H. Smith, Jr., and his wife, Annette Hansen of Fairfax, VT; Tammy L. Losaw, and her husband, David, of Glens Falls; Thomas A. Smith and Shelley Green of Peabody, MA; and Kelly L. Gosselin and her fiancé, Eric Ghirarduzzi of Glens Falls. She is also survived by her adopted daughter, Linda Suttle, of Glens Falls; a sister, Marian Fuller, and her husband, LaRoy, of South Glens Falls; a brother, William B. Mattison, Jr. of Granville; a sister, Jeanine N. Matthews, of Fort Edward; a sister, Marilyn D. Phillips, and her husband, Robert, of Fort Edward; a brother, Ellis L. Mattison, and his wife, Joyce (Brilyea), of Gansevoort; and a son-in-law, Thomas Gosselin, of Queensbury.

Friends may call on the family Monday, August, 4, 2014, between 4 and 6 p.m. at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 123803. Online condolences may be posted at kilmerfuneralhome.com.

A funeral service will immediately follow callings hours on Monday at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
