GLENS FALLS

Arlene “Muffy” Godfrey, 74, of Glens Falls, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 19, 1939, she was the daughter of the late T. Edward Donnelly and Catherine Casey Donnelly. .

Arlene graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1956.

On May 13, 1961, she married Kenneth Godfrey at St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls with her cousin, Rev. Bernard D. Casey officiating.

Muffy was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls, NY. She was employed by the City of Glens Falls as a Parking Account Clerk from 1979 until her retirement in 1998.

Muffy was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, bird watching, and
watching Jeopardy. She also enjoyed vacationing in Maine with her husband and her family, and going out to lunch with her friends.

Besides her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her husband Ken, her brother Thomas E. Donnelly, and her nephew Daniel Donnelly.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lee Godfrey of Glens Falls, and her children, Megan, Christopher, and Erin; her son Kevin J. Godfrey and his wife Mary Kay, of Queensbury and their daughter, Lynne Marie.

Friends may call on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4-7pm at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12804. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls, NY at 9:30 am on Saturday February 23, 2013, with Father Paul Cox officiating.

The Rite of Committal will be at the convenience of the family.
