Fort Miller
Bernard J. Dugan Sr., 98, formerly of Fort Miller, passed away on Monday Dec. 7, 2015 at home after a courageous battle with prostate and colon cancer.
Born in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late, Thomas and Mary (Lackey) Dugan.
Bernard lived most of his life in Argyle and Fort Miller. In his early years he spent time farming before he started doing carpentry work. He later built his own house.
Bernard enjoyed helping his neighbors, doing carpentry work and working with his hands. If anyone ever needed help or needed something fixed, Bernard was happy to do it.
Besides his parents, Bernard is predeceased by all of his siblings as well as two grandsons and two sons in law.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 74 years, Marion (Flanders) Dugan; his son, Bernard J. Dugan Jr. and his wife, Theresa; his three daughters, Joyce Fitch and her husband, Richard, Jean Jordan and Dorothy Tracey; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren and two more on the way.
