SOUTH GLENS FALLS

Betty W. Ricciardelli, 77, passed away February 22, 2013, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 11, 1936 in Fort Ann, NY, to the late Fred and Gladys (Blackmer) Wilson.

Betty was a graduate of Fort Ann High School.She married Anthony J. (Tony) Ricciardelli Jr., on December 18, 1954 at St. Mary’s Rectory. She retired from Sherwood Medical in Argyle, NY.

Betty was a very family oriented woman and what she loved best was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed camping, Bingo, and going to the Racino.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, as well as her son Anthony III, her granddaughter Teresa Slater, and three son in laws, Richard Evans, Benny Ray Spradlin, and Floyd Slater.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Tony, three sisters and one brother, and her children, Allen Ricciardelli, Gina Evans, Elizabeth Slater and her significant other, Steve, Cheryl Spradlin, Angelina Fitzgerald and her husband Ed, and Dominic Ricciardelli, as well her daughter in law Kimberly Ricciardelli. Betty is also survived by her grandchildren, Anthony IV, Dominic, Jeffery, JoAnna, Floyd, Bettina, Kenneth, Brittany, Ashleigh, Bethanne, Kayla, Caitlyn, Christiano, and Sophia, as well as several great grandchildren.

At Betty’ request there will be no calling hours.

Funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations can be made in Betty’s name to the Moreau Emergency Squad, 1583 Route 9, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the excellent care that Betty received at Glens Falls Hospital, especially the staff of the ICU and T3.
