Obituary for Beverly Borix

Beverly Borix, 94, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019, at the Home of the Good Shepherd surrounded by her family.

Born on August 5, 1924, in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Eva (LaFarr) Doyle.

Beverly married Andrew Michael Borix on Sept. 11, 1948, at St. Joseph’s Church and they settled in Fort Edward to raise their family. They spent 62 years together until his passing in Oct. of 2010.

While her children were in college Beverly worked at Decora in Fort Edward. Beverly enjoyed traveling to Florida. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Rev. Donald Doyle, Rev. Richard Doyle and Frank Doyle.

Left to cherish her memory include her son, Edward Borix and his wife, Kristine, of San Antonio, Texas and Andrea Sheridan and her husband, Peter, of Burnt Hills; her grandchildren: Matt Borix and his wife, Courtney; Jeff Sheridan and his wife, Katie; Andrew Sheridan and his wife, Beth and Christine Lunsford and her husband, Jason; her great-grandchildren, Piper and Brady Borix, Brooke and Abby Sheridan, Thomas and Nicky Sheridan and Zoë and Alexandra Lunsford; her sisters, June O’Connor and Marilyn Doyle; a special nephew, Bill Ward; also several more nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 on Friday, February 8, 2019, at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Church, 164 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

Rite of Committal will be conducted on Saturday May 11, 2019 at 1 pm at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fort Edward.

Memorial donations in Beverly’s memory can be made to the Home of the Good Shepherd c/o Activities Fund, 198 Bluebird Rd, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
