Carol J. Billington, 71, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019, at Saratoga Hospital.
Born on April 30, 1947, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Jane (Maloney) McCane.
For over 20 years Carol worked for Caldor in Queensbury as a receiving associate. On February 7, 1964, Carol married Donald Billington in North Creek. They spent 33 years together until his passing in February of 1997.
Carol enjoyed socializing and hanging with her friends and family. She enjoyed going shopping, going to the VFW to listen to music, collecting teddy bears and listening to Elvis. She especially loved watching her grandchildren bowl.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Carol was predeceased by her brother Timothy McCane.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, Donald “Boomer” Billington and wife, Sherry, Daniel Billington, Carol Ann Rapp and husband, Raymond; her grandchildren, Amber Edwards and husband, Alex, Kaylee White and husband, Wade, Marc Billington and wife, Caitlyn, Ashley Ward and husband, Bryan, Anlyn Billington, Christopher and Kara Rapp; her great-grandchildren, Andrew Ross, Katelyn Edwards and Kameron Rapp; her siblings, Linda Chandler and husband, Mike, Marion Monroe, Luke McCane and wife Donna, Harold McCane Jr. and wife, Peggy, Richard McCane and wife, Barb, Brenda McCane and Wendy Trackey and husband, Phil; her aunt and uncle, Joan Wescott and James Maloney; her brother-in-law, Floyd Billington and wife, Vi; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hammond and husband, Butch and Sue McCane; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 4 to 6pm on Monday, April 15, 2019, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 11am on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Southside Cemetery, South Glens Falls with Rev. Flossie Gage Bates, officiating.
