Carol Greenfield Waite, 77, went peacefully to be with her precious savior on Monday July 14, 2014, at her daughter Brenda’s home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Battle Creek, MI at her family home. Carol was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Nevah (Berkimer) Greenfield on December 20, 1936.

Carol met the love of her life, Philip Stanley Waite in Battle Creek, MI and was married there on October 6, 1956.

She graduated from Battle Creek High School in June 1955. Carol attended University of Michigan and SUNY Adirondack and was employed at Michigan National Bank and HSBC (Formerly Marine Midland Bank) retiring as Assistant VP at the Argyle office.

Carol was a charter member and many years as Treasurer of the Cossayuna Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, member and former Financial Secretary of The Lakeville Baptist Church, member and Treasurer of Friday Nite Gems Bowling League, and member of the Glens Falls Alzheimer’s Support Group.

Besides her parents, Carol is predeceased by her husband, Phil, a daughter, Cynthia Eaton, sisters, Coralee (Joseph) Rheynard, Betty (Orin) French, Eleanor (Dorrance) Shafer, and a brother, Frederick Greenfield and brother-in-law, James McKeown.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Terry (Joyce) Waite , Thomas (Jill) Eaton both of Greenwich, JoAnn (Gregory) Perkins, and Brenda Dooley both of Salem, siblings, Edward Greenfield of Bastrop, Texas, Patricia (Richard) Arndt of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Janet McKeown of Plainwell, Michigan, and Ronald (Sarah) Greenfield of Cedar Creek, grandchildren, Terry (Jacqueline) Waite, Jessica (Stephan) Douglas, Brian Eaton, Leah (Michael) Gray, Jason (Katie) Perkins, Vanessa Perkins and fiancé Rikki Adair, Bree Dooley and fiancé Joshua Franklin, and Damien Dooley, great grandchildren, Georgi, Trinity, and Sara Douglas, Lucas, Alexis and Connor Waite, Nikolena Eaton, and Hunter Perkins, along with nineteen nieces and nephews, as well as several cousins, and great grand nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted following calling hours at the church with Rev. Sandra Spaulding, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lakeville Baptist Cemetery.
