Catherine G. Cavooris passed away Saturday September 24, 2022 at the age of 59. She was born in Manhasset on Long Island on September 12, 1963, daughter of the late Theodore and Marylene Laura (Shadle) Cavooris. Catherine grew up with her four older sisters: Susan (Michael) Slapp, Carolyn (Stephan) von Schenk, Nancy Geiger, and Elizabeth (Erik) Nelson.
Catherine lived a majority of her adult life in Jacksonville, Florida with her companion and best friend Chuck Weaver. They were both fans of the Jacksonville Jaguars and enjoyed watching football games together. Catherine also loved watching old western movies, especially when John Wayne was the leading character. Catherine adored her cat, Caly and shopping at Thrift stores in search of a good bargain. She lived a hard life but persevered through many challenges.
In addition to her four sisters, Catherine is survived by six nephews: Michael Slapp, Christopher Slapp, Paul von Schenk, Brian von Schenk, Mark von Schenk, Garrett Nelson and two nieces: Jessica and Monica Geiger. She is also survived by five grandnieces and one grandnephew. Catherine always had family pictures displayed in her home.
Catherine will always be remembered for her stunningly beautiful blue eyes and a smile that would light up a room. Her perfectly timed humor and love for family will also be missed
