Charlean “Char” A. Sheldon, 71 of East Lake Road, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on January 18, 1942 in Albany, She was the only daughter of the late James and Carlotte (Carpenter) Weaver.

Char was a graduate of Fort Edward High School. On Nov. 22, 1981 she married Robert Sheldon at St. James Episcopal Church in Fort Edward. She formerly worked at, General Electric Co., Sheridan Catheter, Chase Bag and retired from Angio Dynamics. She enjoyed crafts and along with her husband , owned and operated Grandma and Grandpa’s Country Creations in Saratoga and Queensbury. She was a member of the Cossayuna Fire Department Auxiliary and also enjoyed cooking, gardening, her friends, especially her family. She will be remember for her great sense humor and her many talents.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandmother Emma Carpenter who helped raise Charlean.

Survivors besides her husband of 31 years include her children, Keith Conrad and Partner, Darlean Bessette of Argyle, Tammy Viau and her partner Gary Sawtell of So. Glens Falls, Donna Clemons and her husband Mike of Fort Edward, Bobbi-Jo Wright and husband Edward of Tampa Florida, Heidi Carswell and husband Rusty of Tampa, Florida, Kristina Peregrim and husband Edward of Schuylervile, Jamie Hoss and husband Brian of So. Glens Falls and Laurie Dillon of Hudson Falls, Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

At Char’s request there will be no services or calling hours.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Donations may be made in her memory to High Peaks Hospice, 79 Glenwood Avenue, 2nd Floor, Queensbury, NY 12804.
