Obituary for Charles Romeo Donovan

Charles “Chad” Romeo Donovan, 48, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on September 21, 1973, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Charles Patrick Donovan and the late Michele (Perry) Donovan.

Chad graduated from Fort Edward High School in 1991 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Siena College in 1995.

After a long courtship, Chad married the love of his life, Kari Borzillo, on September 23, 2006, in Hudson Falls, New York.

Chad worked for Orkin Pest Control for several years before branching off on his own. He co-owned and operated Angel Pest Control in Queensbury and worked for Devine Billiards building pool tables, where he forged lifelong friendships that were very dear to him.

Before his health was interrupted, he enjoyed billiards and played in several different local leagues over the years. Other favorite pastimes included hanging out with friends, riding his motorcycle and most importantly, spending time at home with his wife, dogs and cats.

In addition to his mother, Chad was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Louise and Harry Graves; his maternal grandparents, Beverly and Romeo Perry, his uncles, Richard Donovan, Timothy Donovan, Michael Kramer and Arthur Fish; his father-in-law, Jonathan Borzillo.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 15 years, Kari Donovan; his father, Charles Donovan; his aunts and uncles, Barbara “Bobbi” Kramer, Phyllis “Dee” Moffitt, Lynn Hopkins and husband, Walter, Stephanie St. Clair; his godsons Noah Massey and Michael Lefebvre; his mother-in-law, Karen Borzillo; his sister-in-law, Donna Borzillo; his brother-in-law, David Borzillo and his husband, Jeffrey Spafford, along with numerous cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on September 24, 2022, at 2pm at the VFW 30 Cooper St. Glens Falls, NY.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
