Charles R. Werner, 79, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 at his home.
Born August 13, 1940 in Brooklyn he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Werner.
Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He was employed by the City of Glens Falls for over 30 years as Animal Control.
Charlie was a great dad and enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping.
He was a member of the Elk’s lodge and was commander at two VFW locations in the area.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his grandson, Charles Werner.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lucille Werner; children, Charles Werner, John Werner, and Margaret Werner; grandchildren, Brianna, Hunter, Alexandra, and Sierra; brother, John Francis Werner; along with many friends.
At Charlie’s request there will be no calling hours.
Burial and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations in Charlie’s memory can be made to an animal shelter of one’s choice.
