Obituary for Charlotte Elizabeth Clark (Moore)

Charlotte Elizabeth  Clark (Moore)
Fort Edward -

Charlotte E. Clark, 79, of East St., passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 with her family by her side.

Born in Colchester , Vermont, on April 8, 1930, she was the daughter of Herbert and Mary (Palmer) Moore. Charlotte was raised by her foster parents, John and Clarinda Bull.

Charlotte graduated from high school and worked at a nursing home in Ticonderoga. She married Norman B. Clark and they settled in Fort Ann to raise their family. She made many friends through her work as a live-in care giver in the Fort Edward area. Most recently, Charlotte attended the adult day program at Fort Hudson Nursing Home, where she made many friends and fell in love with the staff. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed embroidering, cooking and baking, crossword and board puzzles, scratch off bingo games and playing cards with her grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her foster parents she was predeceased by her husband Norman B. Clark, her infant, son Norman Clark, Jr. as well as three sisters and a brother.

Survivors include her daughter and caregiver, Debbie Clark of Fort Edward and her family, Brett Clark, Mike Squires,Gwen Knapp and her fiancé Mark Burch and their four children, Kali, Julia, Brooke and Madyson whom Charlotte loved dearly; her granddaughter, Rebecca Fisher of Hudson Falls; her very special friend, Elvina Anibal of Fort Edward, her sister, Helen Urquart of Arizona; her daughter, Nancy Belden and her husband Donald of Whitehall and their children, Patti & Michael; her sons, George and Allen and her daughters, Donna and Doris; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

(Please note this is a change) Calling hours will be from 4-5:00pm Monday (March 1, 2010) at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward. Following the memorial services a reception will be held at the Corner Diner, Main St. Hudson Falls, NY.

Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Fort Edward on Saturday. April 17, 2010 at 11am.

Donations may be made in Charlotte’s memory to the Fort Hudson Home Adult Day Care, Upper Broadway Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A special Thank You to Washington County Public Health and Hospice especially Brenda Tyler, who cared for Charlotte for several years, Dr. Foote and his staff, the staff at the Adult Day Care at Fort Hudson and friends, co-workers and owner Kristi at the Corner Diner, Hudson Falls.
