Fort Edward
On Monday, February 1, 2021 Clarence “Red” Monahan of Fort Edward unexpectedly passed away.
Born on July 10th, 1971 to Midge Youngs and Charles Monahan. He grew up in Hudson Falls working alongside his childhood friends in the asphalt business. After many years of hard work, he established Reds on the Ground Services with the love of his life, Regina Hritz. Being the youngest of 7 siblings, Clarence continued in the large family tradition. He was a loving father to three daughters, Latasha, Caren, Elizabeth and one son, Matthew. As well as three stepdaughters, Ashley, Beth-Ann and Ann-Marie.
A big joy in his life was being a proud “Papa” to his 14 amazing grandchildren that he shared with his “Gigi”. He was known to show off pictures of his grandchildren at every opportunity to many clients and friends. Clarence had a huge heart. He hated to see anyone suffer. He answered any calls for help no matter the day or time. He was always making sure all his children and employees were taken care of during these tough times.
Clarence was predeceased in death by his father, Charles Monahan. He is survived by his beloved mother, Midge. His Partner, Regina. Their 7 children and 14 grandchildren. His six siblings, Cherrie, Charlene, Darlene, Bobby, Terry, and Bradley and many nieces and nephew and their families.
At the family’s request there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations in Clarence’s name can be made to the charity of their own choice.
