Claude G. ""Hooper""  LaFarr Jr.
FORT EDWARD -

Claude “Hooper” LaFarr, 82, of Seminary Street, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Claude was born January 13, 1930 in Fort Edward,NY. He was a veteran, serving in both the U.S. Army in 1948, and later in the U.S. Air Force in 1953. He was very active in the community for over 50 years, and enjoyed his many years working for Susan Balfour as an Associate Broker at Balfour Realty.

In addition to his parents, Claude was predeceased by his sisters, Louise Martin and Bertha Ruth Dorsey.

He is survived by his wife Louise, and their children, Jay LaFarr of San Antonio, TX, Matthew LaFarr and his partner Mia Tucker of Queensbury, and Danielle Diaz and her husband Dr. Richard Diaz of San Antonio, TX, their grandchildren, Bobby, Shane, Jamie, Jacob, and Max, as well as many nieces and nephews Including his special nephew Patrick Dorsey of Fort Edward.

Friends may call from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway,Fort Edward, NY 12828. Services with military honors will be conducted at 2 pm, Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Please convene at 1pm at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 for the procession to the cemetery.
