GLENS FALLS

Curtis D. Middleton Jr., 84, passed away peacefully Monday August 12, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born February 9, 1929 in South Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Curtis and Josephine (Elms) Middleton Sr.

On September 18, 1955, in Vermont, Curtis married the love of his life Margaret DiRubbo. Curtis loved to travel, especially with his family. They would take family vacations to Maine, parts of the Adirondacks and to Florida. He loved attending his children’s and grandchildren’s activities and functions.

Curtis was known for sitting on his front porch and watching the “Hollywood and Vine” sights he would see. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and being outside.

Curtis retired from Genpak Corporation in 1989.

Besides his parents, Curtis is predeceased by his brother Douglas Middleton and sister June (Nevins) Bouchard.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 58 years Margaret; children; Deborah Bacon and husband Douglas, Michael Middleton and wife Pam, David Middleton and wife Theresa, Michelle Randall and husband Robert; grandchildren Michael Middleton and wife Sue Dinolfo, Jennifer and Chad Shippee, Jessica Randall, Benjamin Randall and his fiancé Cassandra Chiaravalle, Adam Randall, Bradley Middleton and girlfriend Elizabeth West, Melanie Middleton; great-grandchildren Sophia, Jacob, Adrianna, Parker and Julianna; sister Joyce Ball; brother Victor Middleton and wife Barbara; sister-in-law Olivia Paxson and husband Jim; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

At the family’s request there will be no calling hours.

Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. Pallbearers for Curtis will be his four grandsons Michael Middleton, Benjamin Randall, Adam Randall, Bradley Middleton and two nephews Jeffery Griffin and Terry Middleton.
