GLENS FALLS
David “Mac” MacPherson passed away at Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany after a very brief illness on Saturday, September 1, 2012.

David Alan MacPherson was the son of the late Cecil and Helen (DeVoe) MacPherson. He was born on March 20, 1950 in Glens Falls, and graduated from Glens Falls High School.

He married Kathleen Smith in St. Alphonses Church in Glens Falls on July 4, 1971, and they recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.

Mac was employed as an electronics technician in the quality control offices at Espey Manufacturing in Saratoga before his retirement.

He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, playing poker and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973 in Norfolk, VA and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by a brother, James MacPherson.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; his daughter, Nicole Conklin and her husband, Timothy, and their children, Allie Dickens and Timmy Conklin; his son, Shawn MacPherson and his significant other, Billie Joe Barber, and her two children Tara and Sara Bennett; his brother, Jeffrey MacPherson, and his wife Kathy; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on the family between 4 and 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St, So. Glens Falls, NY 12803. Online condolences may be posted at kilmerfuneralhome.com.

A funeral service will follow the calling hours on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Inurnment will take place on Tuesday, September 11th at 11 a.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
