Obituary for Deborah Amell (Hammond)

GANSEVOORT

Deborah Jean (Hammond) Amell, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013, at her home.

Born November 22, 1963, in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Thomas and Kathleen Hammond.

Deborah was employed as an LPN at The Home of the Good Shepherd in Moreau. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially “The Hammond Family Olympics”. Deborah also loved camping and could frequently be found sitting by a campfire. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Deborah was predeceased by her husband, Darryl Amell, who passed away March 22, 2013. She was also predeceased by her grandparents, Peg and Walter Hammond and Joseph and Phillipa Smith, and her aunts; Marnie Smith, Jane McCurry, Patricia Tierney, and Ruthie Miles.

Survivors include Deborah’s parents, Kathleen Hammond, and Thomas Hammond and his wife Lois, her children; Tanya Hammond and her partner Brook Waters, Christopher Stimpson and his wife Katrina, and Brandon Amell, her grandchildren; Alyssa Morehouse, Logan Pianka, Cameron Etu, Rowan Stimpson, and Willow Stimpson, her brothers; Thomas Hammond Jr. and his wife Michelle, and Michael Hammond and his wife Nanette, her sisters; Jacqueline Rosati and her husband Richard, and Maryellen Godfrey and her husband John, her uncle Walter Hammond and his wife Dorothy, her aunt Barbara Gregory, her aunt Carol Wells, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, including her special cousin Colleen Healey.

Friends may call from 5 to 7pm on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the M.B. Kilmer funeral home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, followed by services at 7pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
