Donald Lee Murphy, 76, passed away after a long illness on Monday, October 21, 2019, at Washington Center Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Feb. 20, 1943, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Owens) Murphy.
Donald enlisted into the United States Navy from 1963 to 1966. He married Frances McGuire on May 23, 1970 in Glens Falls. For many years he worked for Finch Pruyn until he retired.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years, Frances; his children, Gregory (Lisa) and Mark (Betty); his grandchildren, Anna, Aaron, Brendan and Camden; his brother, Douglas (Cynthia) Murphy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-law’s.
At Donald’s request there will be no calling hours.
Burial and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
