FORT EDWARD AND MEDINA, NY -

Dora B. Williams, 87, of Fort Edward and a lifelong resident of Medina, NY, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home, Fort Edward.

Born in Medina on March 22, 1923, she was the daughter of the late August and Helena (Sahrow) Quintern.

Dora enjoyed taking care of her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and her pets especially her beloved dog, Sadie.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Harold E. Williams Sr. in 2001 as well as several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children; David Bunn and his wife Jolene of Lockport, NY, Kathy Weidrich and her husband Farwell of Pavillion, NY, Sherrie White and her husband Brent of Roanoke, VA, Lorrie Etu and her husband Jeff of Fort Edward, and Harold Williams Jr. and his wife Kim of Medina, NY; her 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Quintern of Medina as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Dora's request there will be no calling hours.

Memorial Services will be conducted June 12th at a time to be announced at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center Street, Medina, NY 14103.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family wished to thank the Glens Falls Hospital 4 west and 3 central staff and especially the staff at Fort Hudson Nursing Home, Fort Edward.
