Dorothy Ann Brann, 65, of Boulevard, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at home.

Born April 1, 1947 in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Edna (Benton) Gonyea.

Dorothy attended the Kingsbury/Hudson Falls School District.

On July 26, 1964, she married Gary L. Brann and spent 48 wonderful years creating life long memories with family and friends.

Dorothy loved to cook, especially large Sunday dinners. She was well known around the Holidays for sharing Christmas cookies. Dorothy also loved spending time gardening and time with her grandchildren.

She most recently retired from FSA of SUNY Adirondack, with 21 years of service. She had a special place in her heart for all the nursing students. During her summer months for 20 year, she worked for Six Flags Great Escape and was well known by local guests and tourists from all over as the “Dippin Dot”.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her siblings, Walt Pecue, Norman Gonyea, Robert Pecue, Roy Pecue, Helen Gonyea (Ringer), Leon Gonyea and Richard Gonyea.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 48 years Gary Brann of Hudson Falls, three daughters, Theresa Gutierrez and her husband David of West Hurley, Brenda Lacque and her companion, Elliott Fuller of Glens Falls, and Barbara Simon and her husband Christopher of Ballston Spa, eight grandchildren, Christopher Lacque, David Gutierrez, Andrew Gutierrez, Elizabeth Lacque, Abigail Gutierrez, Brandon Gutierrez, Amanda Gutierrez and Nathaniel Simon; siblings, Lawrence Gonyea and Louis Gonyea, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will be missed by all those in her life especially her husband, children and grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm on Friday, July 20, 2012 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. Online condolences may be posted at www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9am on Monday July 23, 2012 at the Church of St Mary/St. Paul, on the park in Hudson Falls, NY 12839 with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.

Donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to C.R. Wood Cancer c/o Glens Falls Hospital Foundation, 126 South Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801.
