Obituary for Dorothy Lacko (Rice)

Dorothy (Rice) Lacko of South Glens Falls passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Glens Falls Hospital.
She was born at her family home in Fort Miller, NY on November 7, 1931.
She was the youngest daughter of the late George H. Rice and Fannie (Monroe) Rice. She graduated from Argyle Central School in 1950, married Michael Lacko in 1960, attended Adirondack Community College from January 1975 through December 1976 and received an Occupational Education Program Certificate. After raising her three daughters she held several jobs and retired from C.R. Bard in 1997. Throughout her life, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, spending time with her six grandchildren, friends and relatives, taking trips with The Moreau Community Center, and enjoyed outings with the Red Hat Society.
She was well loved by everyone and will be missed. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Lacko, her siblings Harold Rice, Cathleen Humiston and Josephine Middleton.
She is survived by her daughters Arlene Clinch, Carol (John) Wildman and Nancy (Pierre) Cridlig, her grandchildren Michael and Joseph Clinch, Ashley and Colin Wildman, and Andre and Sophie Cridlig, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Noon on Thursday, November 9th at Fort Miller Reformed Church, 1239 Fort Miller Rd, Fort Edward.
