Douglas Eugene Chavis, 49, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Saratoga Hospital
Born in Columbia, SC on September 25, 1969, he was the son of Elizabeth (Strickland) Rector and the late Floyd T. Chavis Sr.
Left to cherish his memory includes his mother, Elizabeth Rector, brother, Floyd T. Chavis Jr., and a step-brother, Frederick Schaff and wife Maritsa Taylor-Schaff, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends and family may call from 1-2pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803. Services will follow calling hours at 2pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
