Obituary for Earl B. Smith

Ballston Spa

Earl B. Smith, 61, passed away at Saratoga Hospital on December 11, 2015, following a brief illness.

Born June 27, 1954, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Earl G. and Mary (Davis) Smith.

Earl was an auditor at Overland Solutions Incorporated. He was also self-employed for many years in finance. He was a charter member of the former Avant Garde Drum and Bugle Corps of Saratoga Springs and served as a volunteer instructor for many years. He was an avid golfer, and loved the outdoors, boating in particular. He had a great love for dogs, especially his dog Henry.

Besides his parents Earl is predeceased by his brother Tage Richard Fredericksen II who passed away on January 5, 2015.

Earl is survived by his sister Mary June Morrell of Moreau; his brother Paul T. Smith and his wife Nancy of Moreau; his sister-in-law Deborah Fredericksen of Northville; his nieces and nephews Kirsten (John) Percey, Jaime (Joseph) Campbell, Tage R. Fredericksen III; an aunt, several cousins and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at the funeral home with Regina Haag officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Fort Edward.
