Fort Edward
Edwin “Ted” Taylor Sr., 75, of McCrea Street, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Albany Medical Center.
Born on March 16, 1939 in Moreau, he was the son of the late Ruben J. and Ruth C. (Durose) Taylor.
Ted worked at Ciba Geigy for many years and most recently he delivered Meals-On-Wheels. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving from 1956 to 1960. He enjoyed small engine repair, fishing and his vegetable garden. He loved family cookouts and his specialty was his burnt chicken.
On Jan. 29, 1961 he married Anna May Simmons at St. Joseph Church, Fort Edward.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Richard Taylor, Raymond Taylor, Robert Taylor, John Taylor and Ruth Taylor Vaughn.
Left to cherish his memories include his wife of 53 years; his children, Mary Taylor of Queensbury, William Taylor and Fran of Fort Edward, Edwin Taylor and Michelle of Fort Edward, Lonnie Taylor and Lorrie of Oklahoma, Dennis Taylor and Mary-Jo of South Glens Falls, Amy Eggleston and Kenny Fort Edward; his grandchildren, Bridgette and James, Ashley and Elmer, Lucinda and Terry, Brittany and Mike, William Jr. and Kristen, Kyle, Jonah, Amelia, Derek, Kirstie, Ethan, Samson, Olivia, Madison, Spencer May; his great-grandchildren, Natalie, Lindsey, Rowan, Piper, Jaelin, and Aiden; his sister in laws, Sharon Simmons and Irene Brown, his son-in-law, Raymond Perras; his dog Heidi and his two cats, Inky and Mokie and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be conducted following the calling hours at 5:00pm on Saturday at the Funeral Home
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
