Elsie Marie Clute, 93, passed away Friday May 31, 2019 at Fort Hudson Nursing Home.
Born January 27, 1926 in Glens Falls she was the daughter of the late Emile and Floyce (Prosser) Blanchard.
She was a member of the Durkeetown Baptist Church and Moreau Community Center.
Elsie liked being outdoors fishing, taking boat rides, riding snowmobiles, mopeds and swimming. She also enjoyed square dancing with friends, sewing, baking, bowling and spending time with her family. Elsie was a kind and loving soul; a bright spot in the lives of anyone she encountered.
In addition to her parents, Elsie was predeceased by her husband John Clute; infant son John Lee Jr “Jackie”; grandchildren, Gerald Scott Wilder and Bruce Lee Pratt.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Connie Wilder (Gerald), Christina Pratt (Bruce); grandchildren, Lynn Campney (Will), John Wilder (Lori), Michele Vance (Steven), Bill Pratt (Nikki), Greg Pratt (Karen); along with numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Thursday June 6, 2019 at the Durkeetown Baptist Church with Rev Ken Prater and Rev Mike Neigh officiating 2 Durkeetown Rd, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
Burial will be held at 10am on Friday June 7, 2019 at West Glens Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga 179 Lawrence St. Saratoga, NY 12866.
