Emerson L. Grant, 50, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born September 2, 1968 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Emerson and Anita (LaPointe) Grant.
Emerson attended BOCES from 1986-1987 where he worked in the machine shop and graduated from Argyle Central School in 1987. He was also a member of the Argyle Volunteer Fire Department for 14 years.
On June 17, 2018 he married the love of his life, Melissa Burnett.
Emerson was an avid outdoorsman. He was passionate about hunting and fishing, and loved sharing the experience with other people. For many years he could be found on Saturday mornings at local Farmers Markets selling breakfast sandwiches and interacting with all the patrons. Emerson had a genuine joy for other people, and would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Melissa Grant, his sisters; Susan Perry and Debbie Porter and her husband Buddy, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, many close friends, and Max the dog and Fred Morris the cat.
Friends may call from 4-7pm on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. A Time of Remembrance will be held at 7pm by Emerson’s family following the calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
