Ethel Mae (Ormsby) Losaw, 82, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at her home.

Born in Glens Falls on January 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Rose (Pixley) Ormsby.

She married Samuel C. Losw on August 7, 1948 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Glens Falls. They spent many wonderful years together before his passing.

Ethel enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, especially loved her dog’s and one cat, but most of all, loved spending time with her family.

She was a member of the New Country Fan Club.

Besides her parents and husband, Ethel is predeceased by a granddaughter, Savanna, a son in-law, Anthony Brayton, and all her siblings.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, David Losaw and wife Tammy of Glens Falls, Linda Suttle of South Glens Falls, Joseph Losaw of Fort Edward, Samuel Losaw Jr of Argyle, Sherry Losaw of Fort Edward, Penny Brayton of Gansevoort, Scott Losaw and wife Michelle of South Carolina, grandchildren: April Shannon and husband Christopher, Randy Sweet, Andrew Losaw, Joseph Baker, Brian Brayton, Nicole Brayton, Cory Nesbitt, Brittney Nesbitt, and Emily Nesbitt; four great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted on April 19, 2014 at 11 am at Griswald Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank all the nurses at Fort Hudson for the great care Ethel received during her stay.
