Obituary for Frances "Fran" Bowe (Seaver)

Fort Edward

Frances S. "Fran" Bowe, 85, of Fort Edward passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Fort Hudson Nursing Home.

Born October 27, 1928 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late LeGrand and Grace (Smalley) Seaver.

She lived in South Glens Falls for several years and then moved to Regency Park North in Queensbury.

Fran was a graduate of Glens Falls High School Class of 1947. She worked part time in the office of Glens Falls Hospital during the latter part of World War II. After graduation, she worked at Imperial Color in the office for about a year, then in the office at General Electric Company in Hudson Falls & Fort Edward for twenty-five years.

Her husband, John "Bud" Bowe died in March 1995. They were married for twenty years.

She was a member of the North Country SPCA where she enjoyed the animals.

Survivors include a son Colonel Raymond Root, his wife Pat and his two children Anna & Jud of Montgomery, AL; a daughter Debra (Root) Hulsman of Ballston Spa and her son Jason of Salem, MA; a brother LeGrand “Bud” Seaver of Fort Ann; several nieces and nephews; and good buddies Bob Carma, Lori Henry and Bob and Sharon Hines.
