Glens Falls

Frederick “Mac” McClure, of Thompson Avenue, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22 2014 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on August 20, 1935 in Granville, NY, he was the son of the late Fred and Cora M. (Lackey) McClure.

Mac worked for many years as a Millwright for Union Local 229 and worked at various paper mills in the area. In his younger years he was a cabinet maker and was a lifelong handyman. He was an Army Veteran serving from 1954 to 1957. Mac enjoyed Square Dancing, the Racino, watching old westerns, playing cards and was an avid NY Giants fan. He was a caring man who would help anyone in need.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Marie E. (Ward) McClure who passed away in October of 1988 as well as his second wife Patricia (Perry) “Bubbles” AKA “Pat In the Hat” McClure, who passed away October of 2013 as well as their son, Jeff Dudley, their great grandchildren, Alex and Alexis Catalfamo, his sisters, Marion Crouch, Rena Taylor and Anita Rice and his brothers, Chet and George McClure.

Survivors include his brothers, Harold McClure and his wife Yvette of Fort Ann and Paul McClure and his wife Fran of Fair Haven, Vt.; his children, Barb MacDuff and her husband, Earl “Chief” of Hudson Falls, Michael Dudley and his wife, Maria of Fort Edward, Kathie Morency and her husband, Timothy “Mort” of Fort Edward, Scott Dudley and his wife, Mindy of Hudson Falls and Steven Dudley and his wife, Marie, of Virginia; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00pm on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Smith, Hospice Chaplain for High Peaks Hospice.

Burial will be private and in St. Mary’s Cemetery, So. Glens Falls
