GRANVILLE -
Gary Thomas Oatman, a lifetime resident of Granville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February 12, 2010, at the age of 60.

Gary was born on March 27, 1949, in Glens Falls, the son of the late Stanley S. and the late Anna (Oudekerk) Oatman. He attended Hartford Central School and then worked on the family farm, where he lived his whole life.

He enjoyed music, classic cars and tractors, working on the farm, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his sister, Joyce Brown and her husband, Walter K, of Queensbury; his nephews, Keith Brown and his wife, Gretchen, of Warrensburg, and Kenneth Brown of Hull, Mass.; two aunts, one uncle and several cousins.

Friends may call on the family Tuesday, February 16th from 2 to 3:00 p.m. at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. Online expressions of sympathy may be posted at kilmerfuneralhome.com.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 16th at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Kenneth Prater, pastor of the Durkeetown Baptist Church, presiding.

Burial will take place 11:30am Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Morningside Cemetery, Hartford, NY.
