Gladys (Patten) Flynn, 92, passed away on November 21, 2023, at Slate Valley Nursing Home in Granville, it is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our mom, grandma, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
Born on July 29, 1931, in Hartford, to the late James and Evelyn Patten. She was one of 14 brothers and sisters. They lived on a large farm in Hartford.
She married Donald Flynn on Aug 7, 1949. She was a long-time resident of South Glens Falls. Gladys was a hard worker, working at Mikes Restaurant for 30 years. She loved to play scrabble with her sisters, Ida, Elaine and her niece, Anita.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, four sisters, Ida DeSaint (Harry), Betty Duell (Frank), Dot Claire (Glen), Kathleen Patten; seven brothers, Robert (Jane), Cliff (Viola), Edward (Betty), Howard (Lois), James (Carole), Richard Ray (Darlene). She is survived by just two sisters, Millie Paradis, and Elaine Benson.
She loved spending time with her three daughters, Gayle LaSarso (Richard) Jan Black (Donald), Colleen Corlew; her grandchildren, Bernadette Zawistowski (Mark), Alicia Poole (Keith), Richard LaSarso (Jessey), Erica LaMere (Cletus), Danielle Craft (Josh), Edward Corlew, Sarah Corlew, Christy Corlew, Shelby Boyea (Mark); 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted in the spring at a date to be determined.
