Born January 3, 1918 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Hurley) Corbett.

She was an occasional letter writer to the Post Star, expressing her views on abortion and other controversial subjects. Her opinions were crystal clear and left little doubt of her stand on those issues.

Helen is survived by her brother Lawrence E. Corbett and his wife Joan Corbett, as well as their children; Michael J. Corbett (Barbara), John L. Corbett (Lucia) and M. Sheila Corbett.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on G Wing at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home for the wonderful care extended to Helen over a period exceeding four years.
