Ida B. Curley, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Fort Hudson Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

Born in Granville on August 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Jenny (Winchell) Winchell.

She attended Granville School. Ida spent most of her life in the Glen Lake Queensbury area.

Ida worked as a waitress for Roaring Brook, Woolworth’s Department store and retired from CR Bard.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, knitting, reading, and in her younger years bowled in a couple’s league with her husband John. Ida was a member of the Moreau Fun Band, loved country music and enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk show.

Besides her parents, Ida is predeceased by her husband, John W. Curley Jr. and a son John S. Curley, and an infant grandson, Jonathan Lionel Thomas Curley.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Richard Curley and wife Gina of Woodbridge, VA, Jeffrey Curley of Queensbury, Laurie Bell and husband Ivan of Glens Falls, James Curley of Queensbury, grandchildren, John Fish and wife Tabitha, Caitlin Bell, Courtney Bell, Erica Curley, Amanda Curley, Moneeb Iqbal, and Gerylyn Chou, great-grandchildren, Hunter Simms, Trenton LaVigne, Gavin Fish, Wesley Hoag, and Alana Shipley.

Service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
