Obituary for James Roger Carlton
HARTFORD
James R. Carlton, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Glens Falls Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Born October 22, 1950 in Granville, NY, he was the son of the late John and Marion (Taylor) Carlton.
James graduated from Hartford Central School and was employed by the Washington County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed hunting, deep sea fishing, and could often be found enjoying a cold drink on his porch.
In addition to his parents, James is predeceased by his brother David Carlton. He is survived by his brother, George Carlton.
At James’ request there will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Deborah at the Holbrook Adult Home in Granville and the staff of Tower 2 at the Glens Falls Hospital for their care and compassion during James’ illness.
