QUEENSBURY
James J. Grigsby, 65, died unexpectedly at his home in Pensacola, Florida on May 4, 2010. James is survived by his daughter, Christine (Grigsby) Dishon and her husband Jean Dishon and his grandchildren Joshua and Kara Dishon all of South Glens Falls; his fiance' and life companion, Karen Johnson of Queensbury and Pensacola, Florida and by his cousins: John (Jerry) Passaur and his wife Barbara; Richard Passaur and his wife Brenda (all of Pensacola, Florida; Keith Passaur and his wife Darryl of Tampa, Florida and four nieces, two nephews and a grandniece.

In his younger years James loved spending his spare time as a semi-professional drag-racer, spending numerous weekends with his family in Canada, racing alongside the then up-n-coming racers such as "Big Daddy" Don Gartlits. He will be remembered as an avid hunter and trapper. He also loved buying, repairing and selling toy trains.

James is predeceased by his mother, Gladys (Grant) Manning and his special Aunt and her husband John and Claire Passaur. James left his mark everywhere he went during his life. He was always willing to give advice and help others to the best of his ability. The loss of James will leave a great void in the lives of those people he touched, especially those who had the privilege of being loved and cherished by him.

Friends are invited to celebrate James's life from 4-8 pm Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the American Legion Post #574, 72 Pearl Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
