Janice H. Combs, 82, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at her son's residence in Pleasanton, California.

Born on August 10, 1927 in Comstock, NY she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Smith) Stoddard.

Janice was a graduate of Fort Ann high school. She grew up in Comstock and lived various places in the Township of Hebron.

On November 28, 1947 Janice married Albert R. Combs at the North Granville Methodist Church. Albert passed away, March 26, 1981.

Janice was employed by Sherwood Medical as an assembler until her retirement in 1989 after 26 years of service.

She enjoyed traveling, working crossword puzzles and considered herself an avid reader who loved all genres of books.

Besides her parents and husband, Janice was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Stoddard, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Dean V. Combs and his wife Nancy of Pleasanton, CA and Kenneth A. Combs of Canyon Country, CA; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, internment and remembrance, will be Saturday 11:30am July 17, 2010 at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle.

Following the services at the cemetery all are welcome to join the family at Sheridan Hall at the Argyle United Methodist Church for refreshments.
