Obituary for Jean Katherine Pollock (Norton)

WEST HEBRON
Jean K. Pollock, age 76, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on November 2, 2012 following a short illness.

Jean was the daughter of the late William and Delsie (Curtis) Norton. She was born in Shrewsbury, VT on May 3, 1936. She attended the West Hebron and Salem schools.

On June 12, 1953 Jean married the love of her life, LeRoy “Jiggs” Pollock. They soon came to West Hebron to settle and raise their two daughters. LeRoy passed away on April 12, 1986.

She was a longtime employee of the Sheridan Catheter Corporation in Argyle, and worked there on the production line.

Jean enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and caring for her domestic animals, especially her Chihuahua “Mini” and her cat “Barney”.

In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, LeRoy “Jiggs” Pollock; her brother, William; her sister, Lucille; and a granddaughter, Shannon Wells.

She is survived by her two daughters: Kathy Snow and her husband, Jeffery, and Terry Bodkin and her husband, Gary; her grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy and Cortney; her great grandchildren, Daniel, Adriano and Colvin; her sister, with whom she recently resided, Ellen Chadwick; her brother Laurence Norton and his wife, Shirley; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on the family Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 between 11 a.m. and noon at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12803. A funeral service will be conducted at noon with Rev. Flossie Bates, officiating. Online condolences may be posted at kilmerfuneralhome.com.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
