Obituary for Jeanne Elizabeth Bliven

Jeanne Elizabeth Bliven, 96, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Washington Center.
This beautiful lady’s angels came to take her home. Jeanne was the third child of seven, born to Percy and Blanche (Jacobs) Haskins in their home in Wilmington, VT on August 25, 1925. She grew up and had five daughters, Susan, Sally, Linda, Laura, and Elizabeth, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She loved her family and time they spent together.
She lived many years in North Pownal, VT and loved the outdoors, walking in the woods whenever she could. Jeanne played the organ in her church for many years and enjoyed her friends in her senior group.
She spent her last years living with her youngest daughter, Laura, in Malta, NY. Jeanne liked watching the horses run and play. She really loved working in the yard and being outside.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan of North Carolina, Sally of Milton, VT, Laura of Malta, NY. All of her siblings, Phillip, Barbara, Anne, Judy, Bill and Marion are together with her now in heaven, along with two daughters, Linda and Elizabeth. Her husband, Merrill died in 1996.
We all have special memories of good times spent with her. We are sure she is still watching over all of us.
At Jeanne’s request, there will be no calling hours.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
