Glens Falls
Jody Cole Gray Jr., 26, of Glens Falls passed away on Monday April 25, 2016 at home.
Jody graduated from Queensbury High School in 2008 and worked for several landscaping companies. He often liked to surprise his mother with unique plants and flowers that others no longer wanted. He also enjoyed spending time with his father working on cars and other projects.
He was a happy, vibrant child who enjoyed fishing, catching salamander and crayfish, and camping. He earned several belts in Karate. As he got older he enjoyed paintball guns, playing guitar and hunting. He also loved ice cream and spending time with his dog, Junior.
On July 5, 2015 he and his girlfriend, Ellie, were blessed with the birth of their son, Jordan Gray. Jody was a doting father who made sure Jordan was a happy and healthy baby.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Ellie McKinstry; their son, Jordan Jesse James Gray; his father and mother, Jody C. Gray Sr. and Stephanie Waite; his step-father, Darrin Waite; his grandmothers, DeeDee VanNess and Phyliss Conklin; his grandfather, Philip Monrian; his Gramma Red, Anne Waite; his Pop, Tom VanNess; his sister and brothers, Brandy, Gary and Brody Waite; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as many, many friends.
Friends and family are invited to call on Monday May 2, 2016 from noon until 2 p.m. at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St. So. Glens Falls, NY 12803.
A memorial service will be celebrated immediately after calling hours at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at the West Glens Falls Cemetery on Main Street in Queensbury following the service. There will also be a gathering of friends and family immediately after the burial at a location to be announced at the grave site.
Donations in Jody’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
