HUDSON FALLS
John W. Hayes of Hudson Falls, New York, was called to his final resting place on Friday June 19, 2020. John was born on May 7, 1945 in Albany, New York. He was 75 years old.
He was the son of the late George William Hayes and Bertha E. Hartman Hayes. John graduated from Albany High School and then became a lifetime lineman for National Grid – formerly Niagara Mohawk. He was a loyal employee for an impressive 46 years. He was also an active member of the Elks Club Lodge since 1968. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, washing his vehicle every day after work and was a collector of Elvis memorabilia. John was predeceased by both of his parents; his brother Gerald Hayes and his daughter Heather “Annie” Hayes. He is survived by his loving daughter Lisa Williams and was known as “Pa” by his grandchildren Natasha Shaw; Brianna Lever; Hannah Williams, Mckayla Williams and great grandchildren William Shaw and Madelyn Shaw. He is also survived by several nephews.
