Fort Edward

Jon R. Hall, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Glens Falls on December 15, 1938, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ruth (Potter) Hall.

He grew up in Fort Edward and graduated from Fort Edward School.

On February 27, 1960, Jon married Sharon O’Connell at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward.

Jon enjoyed watching sports, was an avid Cowboys and Notre Dame Fan, and was a past member of the South Glens Falls Rotary and COPD Club at Glens Falls Hospital. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his parents, Jon is predeceased by a sister in-law, Mary Bemis, brother in-law, Willis O’Connell, and a mother in-law, Jane O’Connell.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 52 years, Sharon Hall, children, Stephen Hall, Karen Hotmer and husband Gene, Claire Allen and husband Matthew, and Thomas Hall and wife Melissa, grandchildren, Alicia Hotmer and fiancé John Canfield, Jon Hotmer, Alexis, Kathleen and Kimberly Hall, Christopher, Jennifer, and Stephen Allen, one great grandchild, Emma Canfield, brother, Bruce Hall and wife Ruth of Liverpool, NY, nephew and niece, Bryan Hall and Allyson Taggert and husband Robert, aunt, Marian Potter, brothers in-law, Charles Bemis and Harold Vaughn and wife Lola, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will held at 12pm on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the funeral home with Sister Donna Irvine SSND, Chaplin at Glens Falls Hospital, officiating.

Burial will be follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fort Edward.
