Joseph J. Del Signore, 66, passed away on Monday May 26, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital.

Born in Glens Falls on August 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Ciotti) Del Signore.

Joseph graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1965. After graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas for two years.

On October 25, 1969, Joseph married Regina Rockwell in St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls.

Joseph was the owner/operator of Del Signore’s Wines and Liquor’s. The store has been run by his family since 1968.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing his bass guitar and was in a local Rock and Roll band the Marcabes. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Joseph was an avid Yankees fan and especially liked Derek Jeter.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of almost 45 years, Regina Del Signore, two daughters, Leslie Firth and her husband Patrick of Cicero, and Carrie Ann Del Signore of South Glens Falls, three grandchildren, Joel, Nolan, and Shea Firth, one sister, Ann Marie D’Angelo and her husband Philip of Delray Beach, FL, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
