Joseph “Joe” Funk, 64, passed away on October 14, 2023, after an accident.
Born on May 19, 1959, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Lannette (Wheeler) Funk.
Joe was a graduate of South Glens Falls High School. He started his career at various Price Choppers for over 40 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Yankees and the Giants and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by his brother, Larry Funk; his sister, Lea Tracy; his sister-in-law, Candy Funk, and his niece, Kristen Funk.
Left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Alexandra (Chris) and Rachele (Ty); his siblings, Irving (Cathy), Matthew (Donna), Steven (Lisa); his partner, Donna; his sister-in-law, Hope; his brother-in-law, George; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family may call from 10am to 11am on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the St. Michael’s Church, 80 Saratoga Ave, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
A Prayer service will be held at the end of calling hours led by Rev. Guy A. Childs, pastor, assisted by family friend Rev. Mr. John Trembley.
Burial will follow at the Gansevoort Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Joe’s memory can be made to any Fire Department of one’s choice.
