Obituary for Joyce M. Samson (Hutchins)

Joyce M. Samson, 88, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Stanton Nursing Center of Queensbury with her family by her side.

She was born on September 7, 1920 in Dickinson Center, NY.

Joyce was a Lady of the Elks lodge BPOE 81 of Glens Falls.

Throughout her life she had a love of collecting antiques and sharing them with her family. As a young woman she was a professional roller skater.

Her husband Stan Samson predeceased Joyce in February 2003.

Survivors include her two sons, Leland Loffler and his wife Kristen of Queensbury and Ross Loffler and his wife Eleanor of South Glens Falls; four grandchildren, Debra Daly of Queensbury, Kimberly Provost of Queensbury, Ross Loffler II of Glens Falls, and Lee Loffler of South Glens Falls; six great-grandchildren and two nieces, Susan Davis of Florida and Sharon Jenkins of Liverpool, NY

There will be no viewing hours per Joyce’s request. Funeral services and burial will be private.
