Karen Sue Derusha, 61, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on March 25, 1958, in Glens Falls she was the daughter of Carolyn (Deso) Ballard and the late Llewellyn Ballard.
Karen enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, Isabella and Bastian, she loved giving them little surprises.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 44 years, Richard Derusha; her son, Richard Derusha II and his wife, Stephanie; her grandchildren Isabella and Bastian. She is also survived by a daughter, Charity Anderson of California; her grandchildren, Connor Anderson of Glens Falls, Alexandria Barth of Queensbury, Augustus Garcia of California; a daughter, Candace Dunn and her husband, Rob of Queensbury; three sisters, Michelle Howard of Hudson Falls, Carol Greene and her husband, Jeff of Hebron, Sandra Heydrick and her husband, Robin of Fort Ann; five brothers, David, Christopher, Lynn, Scott and Matthew Ballard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Karen’s request there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
