Obituary for Kathleen Elizabeth Lavigne

Kathleen E. Lavigne, 68, passed away April 4, 2019 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her loving daughters after courageously battling pancreatic cancer.

Born November 27, 1950 in Mineville, NY. She was the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Rumney) Carson.

Kathleen enjoyed running and was a past member of the Adirondack Runners Club. She also loved reading, the beach, the sun and the outdoors. But above all, she loved spending time with her family. Especially movie nights with her grandson, Kyle and visits with grandson, Grayson.

She is predeceased by: her son, Travis Lavigne; her sister, Cherry Clark; her brother, George Carson and her parents.

Keeping her in their hearts and memories are her daughters: Ashley Mohl and her husband Randy, Bridgit Lavigne and Tara Lavigne, their father, Kermit Lavigne and her daughter-in-law, Jan Schaff. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Grayson Mohl, Kyle Lavigne, Brianna Summerville and Sierra Schaff, her sisters: Colleen Cohen and her husband Bill, Mary Celotti and her husband Mike, Chloe Orr and her husband Rob, and her brothers: Adam Carson, Mark Carson and Eric Carson and his wife Jen, along with many treasured in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

At Kathleens request there will be no calling hours.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home located at 136 Main St., South Glens Falls, N.Y. 12803.

There will be a Celebration of Life following the service at the Gansevoort Fire House.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Kathleen’s family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Rahul Ravilla and Dr. Reynold Lopez-Soler, as well as all of the caring staff of New York Oncology Hematology, Albany Medical Center and the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.
