Obituary for Leon Jay ""Buddha"" Girard
FORT EDWARD
The family of Leon “Buddha” Girard, 48, are sad to say he went to be with his loving son Zachary on Thursday July 18, 2013. He passed peacefully during his sleep at his home.
Born in Key West, FL on January 11, 1965, he was the son of Philip and Carol (Bell) Girard.
Buddha was one amazing man. He was a very loving, caring, and thoughtful person. Buddha was loved by all who knew him and touched so many lives by his generosity. He will be greatly missed by all. Buddha was also a former member of True Order Motorcycle Club.
He is predeceased by his loving son Zachary Girard.
Left to cherish his many memories are his parents, Philip and Carol Girard, partner, Desiree Wilson, daughter, Lyndsy Novicki, mother in-law, Grandma D brothers, Clifford William Girard, Michael James Girard, and Philip Allen Girard and their spouses, lifelong friend, Kathleen Girard, and special friends, Chris Washburn and Nick Hafner, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call from 3pm-6pm on Monday, July 22, 2013 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway Fort Edward, NY 12828. To view Buddha’s Book of Memories and to post online condolences, please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.
A funeral service will follow calling hours at the funeral home with Lloyd Tompkins, officiating.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
